Check first:
  • Are you genuinely a new and eligible customer?
  • Did you start from the correct link before creating the account?
  • Did you meet every step before its deadline?

The offer changed or expired

Referral campaigns can close without much notice, change their reward or limit successful invitations. Compare the date and terms on the provider’s live landing page with the version you followed.

Your account is not eligible

A different email address rarely makes someone a new customer. Providers can identify previous accounts through identity details, phone numbers, payment methods or earlier memberships. Past bonus recipients and members of the same household may also be excluded.

The journey began in the wrong place

Some programmes require the referral link to be the first route into registration. If you downloaded the app, opened an account or started an application before clicking, the referral may not attach. Codes can also be case-sensitive or restricted by country.

Another promotion took priority

A public discount, student offer or cashback click may replace the referral source. Some systems accept only one acquisition promotion even when checkout appears to accept another code.

Tracking was interrupted

Cashback often depends on cookies. Ad blockers, privacy settings, switching devices, leaving a retailer app, opening another deal site or using an unapproved voucher can interrupt attribution. Before retrying, confirm that the provider permits it; do not create duplicate accounts.

Evidence to collect

  • The referral page and full terms
  • Date and time you joined
  • Application, account or order reference
  • Screenshots of completed qualifying actions
  • The referrer’s code or link identifier

Use the provider or cashback portal’s official claim process. Explain the expected reward, quote the relevant condition and attach evidence. Avoid sending sensitive identity or card data through an insecure channel.
